Essential in the finalization and production stage of an environment,
art goes beyond a decorative choice at
CASACOR Santa Catarina 2023. In its different languages, the works are capable of
giving personality to the environments and
revealing the professional's repertoire . In addition to finishing touches, furniture and accessories, the presence of art
enhances the perception of the environment , conveys emotion and plays a key role in finalizing the production. Check out some of the choices from the exhibition below!
1. Waves Art Gallery – Leonardo Palma, Leonardo Vieira, Iuri Meinhardt, Rafael Santos and Luciano Rother The highlight of the space is the immersive room with
two-dimensional works by self-taught artist
Almira Reuter . Born in Minas Gerais, Reuter is one of the most awarded female painters in the state of Mato Grosso, where she lives. She was a pioneer in painting on acetate and won the FUNARTE award entitled “Masterpieces”. The works exhibited at the MIU Gallery are curated by Martin Lecot.
2. Sensory Diving – Betina Chede and Talita Coral (BCH Architects) The space, set up as an open-air square that evokes the ocean, features
textile works from the Arquipélagos series by
Nara Guichon , made from fishing nets. The visual artist and activist from Rio Grande do Sul, based in Florianópolis, uses her art to protest in defense of nature.
3. Aroma Shop: A Tropical Oasis – Chris Lago and Gabriel Hering A path marked by
wallpaper from the Flora album by designer
Cristiana Mais leads to the back of the store where the work of artist
Letícia Cardoso stands out. Untitled, the work is part of the doctoral research at CEART/UDESC, from the Dirty Dreams series.
4. Skin Suite – Andressa Venturini Known for
reusing discarded wood , artist and designer
Heloísa Crocco created a diptych especially at the request of architect Andressa Venturini, exploring the true texture of the material.
5. Horizonte House by Dimas Constructions – Beatriz Zeglin By
Emanuel Araújo , from Paraná, who holds a PhD in Visual Arts from UFRGS, the work “In waiting, the sun ages” is a highlight in the space. It consists of several modules in the
watercolor technique with layers of gold leaf, flowers, and dry branches on paper.

7. Poets of the Future by DECA – Natália Xavier The work Partitura nº13 pra Sonatas, by the self-taught artist from Florianopolis,
Cássia Aresta , stands out in the space that pays homage to
modern Brazilian architecture . The large-scale work was created using the acrylic on canvas technique.
8. Let it be Home – Bruna Tuon Sposito The architect's environment focused on art as a differentiator. Among Bruna's many choices, the highlight is the painting by
Claudio Tozzi , an artist who has participated in several art biennials around the world, such as in São Paulo, Venice and Japan. The work is on the wall behind the sofa. Above the sideboard, the work Elo V by
Marcos Siqueira . Pay attention to the ceramic sculpture "The Childhood That Lives in Me", next to the vegetation, by
Rodrigo Pedrosa , which is currently exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Niterói.
9. Bleu, Reading Space – Michael Zanghelini and Aline Martins Here you can see works by artist
Roberta Tassinari , who uses linen, gold leaf and voile. Roberta is interested in the specific characteristics of materials. Born in Florianópolis, she has completed artistic residencies in New York and São Paulo. In 2011, she received the Franklin Cascaes Award as the new artist of the year from the Florianópolis City Hall.
10. Casa Brisa – Studio Gabriel Bordin To separate the environments of the wallless space, the
Brisa screen , designed by
Gabriel Bordin , gained prominence by inserting 96 original watercolors by visual artist
Nestor Jr. into the wooden structure, made from shells collected on the beaches of Florianópolis, where he lives. Originally from Itajaí, the artist has been working since 2008 with experiments in languages ranging from the construction of objects, collage, drawing, photography and painting.
