National art steals the show in 9 spaces at CASACOR RJ

The appreciation of national identity has never been so high – there is increasing talk about rescuing values that are unique to Brazilians, in artisanal work with natural materials, meticulous sculptures and bright colors. This commitment is not lost on CASACOR Rio de Janeiro , which features works by national artists in various compositions and interpretations in nine spaces. Whether in Betto Gatti's photography gallery, in Jorge Delmas' Casa do Bem space, or in the intervention in the Clock Tower of the building that houses the exhibition, the Touring, the works are everywhere. Curated by Vanda Klabin and gallery owner Cassia Bomeny, the works engage with nature in the paintings by Mariannita Luzatti and René Machado – who created a canvas depicting the sea especially for the space. It also features works by Rio de Janeiro artists Carlos Zilio, Suzana Queiroga and Frida Baranek, São Paulo native Germana Monte-Mor and Espírito Santo native Rosilene Luduvico, as well as a large panel on handmade paper created by Hilal Sami Hilal.

Even before entering the exhibition, the intervention by visual artist Marcelo Catalano, in the Clock Tower, features lighting by Maneco Quinderé, Uniflex fabrics and curation by Vanda Klabin. The work gave even more prominence to the tower, built in art deco style in the early 1920s.

With good design and good humor, the Loft Coral #Co.Living houses an unusual match-shaped sculpture, by Marcos Duarte, on a gigantic scale. The piece integrates the concept of reframing the project, which aims to remove elements from their original function, as was done with beams and pipes, and give them a design character.
