A lamp that looks like a cotton cloud, an installation created to awaken the connection between a brand and visitors, an arrangement to raise awareness about the importance of health and self-care:
floral art is beginning to be known in Brazil and gives feelings and sensations in some environments exhibited at
CASACOR Santa Catarina , open until October 30th at Escola Silveira de Souza, in Florianópolis. According to award-winning floral designer
Juliana Hames , much more than just putting together a flower arrangement, the practice involves studying specific areas such as art history, aesthetic design concepts, color harmony, styles and botanical science. "
The practice of art floral teaches us about the art of living itself , involves, inspires, shows possibilities, brings beauty, lightness, reveals the poetry that exists in nature. It sensitizes our gaze towards others, towards nature and towards our own life", comments the professional who signs two different works in the Santa Catarina exhibition, one of them in the
Aromatmosfera environment.

Created by architects
Carol Porto and
Isadora Maestri , from Porto Maestri Arquitetura for the Mels Brushes aroma store, the floral installation conveys the lightness sought by the duo. "Our space called for lightness. We wanted the visitor to have a
complete sensory experience , especially in the bathtub corner, which needed something extra. Something that made people feel at peace,
welcomed by nature and the aromas . The arrangement of dried flowers frames the bathtub space and gives a unique finish, both in the harmony of colors and in the comfort it brings", they explain.

Also, in
Casa em Percurso , by
Octaedro Arquitetura , the Nuvem lamp/sculpture draws attention. Created especially for the space by artist and set designer
Lica Paludo with natural cotton tree branches, the piece portrays the transience of existence in a poetic and fluid. "The Nuvem lamp translates this concept of fluidity, naturalness, lightness and deconstruction that we brought to our space.
Natural cotton , in its essence, evokes the atmosphere of comfort that we seek, and the branches in its volume give the work an imposingness that brings us closer the idea of nature in its transience and strength. The work is
pure poetry ,
dialogue and
singularity , and is the perfect synthesis of our space", says the architect duo
Emanueli Schneiders and
Leonardo Gazzoni from Octaedro. With the theme "
Infinito Particular ",
CASACOR/Santa Catarina 2022 presents 28 environments until October 30th, at Escola Silveira de Souza, in Florianópolis.
