The cast of
CASACOR Piauí found
in art and crafts a poetic way to translate the theme "
Sowing Dreams" into their projects. Among the
29 projects that make up the second edition of the exhibition in Teresina, many of them feature
handmade pieces as the protagonists of the decoration – including clay items, macramé, tapestries, paintings, and more.

More than adding to the aesthetics, handcrafted objects tell stories, bring affection, and celebrate the Northeast roots of the professionals. Below we gathered 7 highlights from CASACOR Piauí for art and craft enthusiasts. Hand-painted art, by Paloma Architecture and Design
Architect Paloma Amorim sought to provide the feeling of a nature's embrace in her café at CASACOR Piauí 2025. One of the resources she used for this was the hand-painted art on one of the walls. The vibrant drawing depicts birds, plants, and coffee – of course! Paloma Arquitetura e Paloma Arquitetura e Design - Café Verde Miraflores. (Felipe Petrovsky/CASACOR)
Clay pieces, by Vangii Guerra
Meanwhile, Vangii Guerra proposes a sentimental view of cajuína (a golden drink typical of Piauí) in his large lounge. Thus, Northeast craftsmanship could not be missing from the composition of the space. It appears in clay pieces that frame one of the walls – each with a different pattern that refers to the theme. Tapestry art, by Renata Santos
The minimalist bedroom of Renata Santos at CASACOR Piauí gained a pop of color through craftsmanship. Among the neutral-toned walls, furniture, and fabrics, the piece of colorful tapestry steals attention in front of the bed. The abstract drawing perfectly complements the decoration. Crochet curtain, by Vânia Sousa Architecture
Craftsmanship is also present in Vânia Sousa's environment: a dining room designed as a space for gatherings, music of memories. The crochet curtain, along with other handmade items, serves as a reminder of the roots and family ties of those who would live there. Vânia Sousa Arquitetura - Sala de Jantar Alquimia dos Sonhos. Macramé, by Raphaela Sena Architecture
Another project from CASACOR Piauí 2025 that features craftsmanship as a protagonist is the "Baby Luzia's Room," by Raphaela Sena. Memory and innovation intertwine in the project like threads of the same loom. The highlight is the macramé crib – symbolizing the lightness of childhood and the connection to handmade creations. In addition, the decoration includes other artisanal pieces made from crochet, clay, and other techniques. Piauí crafts, by Laline and Isadora Mendes and Aloísio Evangelista
The name "House of the Artisan" already indicates that the space by Laline Mendes and Isadora Mendes is filled with pieces that tell stories and exalt Brazilian ancestral roots. Made exclusively by artisans from Piauí, the pieces appear in contrast to modern elements – making visitors reflect on the relationship between tradition and technology. The same happens in the "Casa Delta Sebrae," by Aloísio Evangelista. The architect pays tribute to one of Piauí's greatest natural treasures: the Parnaíba Delta. In this case, the main protagonist of the project is the craftsmanship produced on the coast, including paintings, sculptures, and tapestry pieces. Aloísio Evangelista - Casa Delta Sebrae. Tribute to Tereza do Carmo, by Eduardo Avelino
Eduardo Avelino found a different way to bring craftsmanship to CASACOR Piauí: paying tribute to the great doctor and artisan, Tereza do Carmo. The project aims to portray her work and life with simplicity and sophistication at the same time. There could not be a lack of various artisan pieces – that complement the decoration with texture, warmth, and a sense of identity. Eduardo Avelino - Varanda Veredas. Projeto da CASACOR Piauí 2025.
