For yet another year, CASACOR Ribeirão Preto shows that the worlds of architecture and art go hand in hand. Sculptures, canvases, engravings, paintings, photographs and tapestries parade through the spaces, enriching the production with culture, bringing more personality and giving soul to the projects.

Proof of this is that CASACOR Ribeirão opened up space in this 2023 edition for several art galleries to present their artistic expressions.

Present in seven spaces at CASACOR RP, Galeria Artilharia chose to bring and present to the public 18 artists who work with a plurality of techniques and styles . In one of the spaces, the professional Edna Carla Stradioto exhibits two large installations and a diptych. The pieces make up the Espaço Loft Fênix , designed by Mariane Siqueira , which portrays a practical and modern home with functional, well-integrated and resilient environments.

“The importance of having art close to people is that it has the power to transform a space into something subjective , enabling the place to have individuality and highlighting the emotional aspects of those who live there. Art doesn’t just need to decorate , it can also have this bias”, says Edna, who is also responsible for the gallery that is in its second year at CASACOR Ribeirão Preto.

With the poetics of emerging and recomposing oneself from parts of oneself, the artist brings to the space an installation with 47 pieces in the shape of a phoenix, a curtain of mini watercolors and a diptych representing the lightness of the bird's feathers on tracing paper, fixed to the upper layer of the panels.

Living in Paris, France, visual artist Márcia de Carvalho presents in the exhibition the photographic work “ issue de Secours ” - Emergency Exit. The initial canvas is made of recycled yarn, a technique that Márcia developed in France to transform socks into yarn , which was later knitted. The photos are printed on this mesh where the image blends into the weave of fibers and is highlighted with paint. “The aspect is very interesting, sometimes it seems to be in three dimensions . Saída de Emergência talks about all the possibilities we have to change reality, both personally and environmentally. About actions to make us and the planet better off. The work is linked to social inclusion,” emphasizes the artist who is the founder of the NGO Chaussettes Solidaires and whose studio is in Paris. Márcia's work, which in Brazil is curated by Maurício Siqueira and Terezinha Santini , can be seen in the Emergency Exit space at CASACOR .

Located in Beco do Batman, in São Paulo, A7MA Galeria was responsible for creating the artistic installation on the façade of CASACOR Ribeirão Preto. Two of the main artists from the São Paulo gallery, Marcelo Ruggi – Tché and Luís Alexandre Lobot – were in the city to create the work, which uses elements of mural painting and sculptures in oxidized welded steel. "It is a dive into the internal and external universe, causing a new sensation in the viewer, discussing issues of inside and outside. We are outside the house, but inside the street. The body moves and dialogues with the spaces and people, as an extension of their homes, creating an art collection in an open-air gallery , making passersby enter the installation playing with the limits of 'inside and outside'. A work of social inclusion , as it is exposed to everyone", explains Marcelo Ruggi-Tché , founding partner of A7MA. This was the gallery’s first participation in an architecture, art and design exhibition.
