Art Basel Miami is taking place at the
Miami Beach Convention Center . The
20th anniversary edition
of the fair, which takes place annually in Florida, features a record number of Brazilian galleries in its
line-up :

1. Simons of Assisi
In the
Kabinett section of Art Basel Miami Beach 2022, the gallery highlighted the works of Emanoel Araujo (1940-2022): artist, curator, collector and researcher. A fundamental name in the history of Brazilian art, Araujo began his career in engraving, but soon expanded his practice into sculpture, creating Initially, he created three-dimensional geometric reliefs in wood. Panmela Castro : an artist who, originally a graffiti artist from the suburbs of Rio, is interested in the dialogue that her female body marginalized person establishes with the city. Marcela Cantuária is a Brazilian artist who lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. Gentil Carioca, in partnership with the South African gallery Goodman Gallery, presents a selection of “new works of a critical, aesthetic, playful, social and political nature in the current global context”, according to the curatorship, “represented in the scope of the recent production of our artists”. 4. Nara Roesler
Considered one of the great names of the so-called Generation 80,
Angelo Venosa (1954-2022) stood out for his dedication to sculpture, rather than painting, the group's main trend. His work often evokes organic structures, which the artist builds with wood covered with textiles. , resin, fiberglass or bones, beeswax and teeth.

Argentine Leandro Erlich has been one of the highlights of the arts in 2022. Regina Silveira presents “Wall Series”, her first collection of NFTs, inspired by the 15 historical silkscreen prints of "Labirintos", created by the artist in 1971.
