ArPa 2026 opens its doors to the public from May 27 to 31, at Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu, in São Paulo (SP). The event reaches its 5th edition consolidated as one of the main contemporary art fairs in Latin America. The program brings together artists from various countries (especially Latin Americans), gallerists, curators and collectors.

Created in 2022 by Camilla Barella, ArPa stands out for its selection of galleries made by invitation, prioritizing unprecedented projects and proposals aligned with contemporary production. As usual, the initiative is divided into five sectors: Main, UNI, Base, Editorial and Institutional.

In 2026, ArPa brings together about 60 galleries from Brazil and from nine other countries. It is worth mentioning that all participants are invited directly by the organization. Among the highlights of the program are unprecedented installations, solo projects and meetings between artists of different generations and languages.
Fortes D'Aloia & Gabriel presents a site-specific installation by Rodrigo Matheus, while Pinakotheke exhibits historical works by Farnese de Andrade. Almeida & Dale promotes a dialogue between Alex Červený and Joseca Yanomami, and Nara Roesler brings unprecedented works by André Griffo.
In addition to galleries already established on the contemporary circuit, such as Mendes Wood DM, Luisa Strina and Casa Triângulo, the fair also opens space for new participants, including Athena, Pilar, Refresco and Pena Cal.

ArPa 2026 expands the space dedicated to artistic research by presenting an expanded version of the UNI Sector, a nucleus focused exclusively on solo exhibitions. Curated by Colombian Ana Sokoloff, the sector brings together artists from different generations and origins of Latin America in a selection that brings together painting, sculpture, drawing, textile and assemblage.
Under the title "Forms of Continuity: Modern and Contemporary Positions from Latin America", the UNI Sector reinforces the presence of Brazilian galleries alongside international spaces from Argentina, Puerto Rico, Colombia and other Latin American contexts. Among the participants of the edition are: MaPa, Vermelho, Pilar, Central Galeria, Marcelo Guarnieri, WG Galeria, Refresco, Cave, Luciana Caravello, RV Cultura e Arte, ORA, Hache, Pérez Puig and Pena Cal.
The curatorship connects the works through shared themes, such as spirituality, memory, ancestry, identity and materiality – creating dialogues between contemporary and modern productions from Latin America.

The Base Sector of ArPa 2026 proposes a format that brings together exhibitions and live conversations. The nucleus brings together artists whose work is linked to pedagogy, community building and the encouragement of new generations, with pair dynamics: each artist invited by the fair indicates another name with whom they maintain bonds of learning, mentorship or creative partnership, resulting in joint exhibition projects and mediated meetings throughout the program.
The event expands the space dedicated to art publications through the Editorial Sector, a nucleus focused on graphic production, research and critical thinking. The proposal brings together books, exhibitions and curatorial processes. Participants include: Lovely House, Ubu, Família, Cobogó, Banca Tatuí and Celeste, gathering catalogs, essays, experimental publications and printed projects linked to the visual arts.
The fair also features the Institutional Sector, an area dedicated to cultural organizations focused on memory preservation, education and access to art. The space brings together initiatives operating on different fronts of artistic research and cultural dissemination, such as the Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo (MAM), Institute of Contemporary Art (IAC), Comadre, Casa do Povo and 55SP.

Finally, Ana Sokoloff also takes the lead of the Prisma Program during ArPa 2026 week, an initiative aimed at invited collectors from Brazil and abroad. The platform promotes meetings and immersive experiences within the Brazilian art circuit, including visits to studios, private collections and institutional exhibitions throughout the year.
