Paris’s skyline has been transformed! The iconic Arc de Triomphe on the Champs-Élysées is temporarily wrapped in 25,000 square meters of silver-blue recycled fabric , tied with 3,000 meters of red rope.

The artistic intervention is signed by the duo Christo and Jeanne-Claude who conceived this project in 1961, but it was only in 2017 – eight years after Jeanne-Claude's death – that Christo fully developed the design.

According to project director Vladimir Yavachev, the installation fulfills the "lifelong dream" of partners Christo and Jeanne-Claude, best known for enveloping famous buildings around the world.
