More than just decoration,
works of art are an essential part of the environments presented at
CASACOR Brasília 2022. Canvases, sculptures and installations tell stories amidst the architectural projects that occupy the Arena BRB Mané Garrincha, where the exhibition is housed. Of the
52 environments in this edition, we selected 14 where art is also the protagonist. Check it out!
1. Windows of Our Sea, by Larissa Dias Arquitetura
Larissa Dias Arquitetura - Janelas do Nosso Mar. Ambiente da CASACOR Brasília 2022. (Edgard Cesar/CASACOR)
Anyone who visits Larissa Dias's space will soon be enchanted by the
bronze sculptures by the Minas Gerais sculptor
Alfredo Ceschiatti . The pieces are similar to the hanging angels in the Cathedral of Brasília. Still in dialogue with the religious theme, there are paintings by the São Paulo artist
Carlos Araújo with reinterpretations of the Holy Bible.
2. Studio Zago, by Thales Zago
Thales Zago - Studio Zago. (Edgard Cesar/CASACOR)
Featuring works of art from the architect's collection, the space features paintings by
Ana Serafin , an abstract artist known for using acrylic paint in her works, and by visual artist
Fabiana Queiroga . The pieces aim to bring relaxation and emotional reactions.
3. Mozzafiato Suite, by Relato Architects
Relato Arquitetos - Suíte Mozzafiato. Projeto da CASACOR Brasília 2022. (Edgard Cesar/CASACOR)
Among the choices made by the duo
Ana Karolina Magalhães and
Pedro Henrique Ferreira , from Relato Arquitetos, for the 60 m² space is the painting Estudos Botânica II, by artist
Fabiana Queiroga . In keeping with the project, the watercolor on the canvas highlights the dialogue between design and nature.
4. Domus Vita, by Jessica Campos
Jéssica Campos - Domus Vita. Projeto da CASACOR Brasília 2022. (Edgard Cesar/CASACOR)
Curves, straight lines and neutral colors are
Jessica Campos ' bets for the Domus Vita space. The concept is also found in the works of art selected for the space, such as the painting Série Entrelinha, by the artist from Espírito Santo,
Patricia Palmeira . The space is also completed by the sculpture Repouso, by
Fabiana Queiroz .
5. PAUSAPRAGMA, by Alê Neves and Gero Tavares
Alê Neves e Gero Tavares - Pausapragma. Projeto da CASACOR Brasília 2022 / (Edgard Cesar/CASACOR)
The space is among the exhibition spaces set up amidst the tiles by
Athos Bulcão that already exist inside the BRB Arena. In addition to the traditional art from Brasília, the place gains an artistic tone that dialogues with the concept of biophilic architecture with installations by
Christus Nóbrega made exclusively for the space; pieces by sculptor and visual artist
Amilcar de Castro ; and a video art by
Lino Valente from Brasília.
6. Gallery, by CADA Arquitetura
The space, by architects
Amanda Rodrigues and
Bianca Falcão , from CADA Arquitetura, is composed of works by award-winning photographer
Celso Júnior , in different formats and sizes. As this is such an emblematic edition of CASACOR Brasília – the celebration of its 30th anniversary –, the photos are all themed around the city.
7. Particular and Infinite, by Hélio Albuquerque
(Edgard Cesar/CASACOR)
The project takes advantage of
Athos Bulcão ’s existing paneling, using neutral tones and lots of textures to create a contemporary and welcoming space. The artworks are a mix of everything that appeals to the architect, including paintings by renowned artists and friends. “They are all equally important and highly regarded. It’s not a collection, but rather a set of objects and artworks that have
a valuable meaning for me,” says
Hélio Albuquerque .
8. White House 30+, by Jorge Carneiro
(Edgard Cesar/CASACOR)
In an environment designed for people over 30, designer
Jorge Carneiro presents exclusive pieces signed by visual artist
Fernanda Naman . Abstraction, geometric compositions and photographic recreations based on the manipulation of objects are the characteristics that Naman brings to her works.
9. Metropolis Balcony, by Juliana Santana
(Edgar Cesar/CASACOR)
A welcoming space amidst the monumentality of the stadium's columns,

Eduardo Sued from Rio de Janeiro, bringing colors to the living space, with the artist's work of geometric abstraction.
