The Ubuntu Space designed by professionals Fábio Pereira Vitorino, Leandro Ribeiro Sumar and Tauan Zanetta at CASACOR Santa Catarina , in Florianópolis, surprised visitors with its beautiful concept: the African idea “ubunto” which, in Portuguese, means “I am because we are”. ”. This space is a circulation area with restrooms and was designed to embrace ethnic, cultural, natural and religious differences. The restrooms do not distinguish or separate genders and visitors can move around the space with ease.

The decor was designed to reinforce the project’s ideals. Natural basalt stones, African graphics and a vertical garden evoke a rustic naturalness. In addition, a key element completes the atmosphere of the Ubuntu Space : a series of portraits praising diversity on the wall. More than 40 people from greater Florianópolis were photographed exclusively for the publication and each portrait shows the beauty of diversity.
