British architecture studio
Zaha Hadid Architects has released images of the
Cultural Center in Xi'an, China. It is a creative cultural space in one of the most popular regions in the world. The space will feature
cultural environments , including a theater with capacity for 450 people, a multimedia library, lounges, studios, galleries and more - as well as a
welcoming and creative outdoor area. The architecture of the space stands out. Named
Jinghe New City Culture & Art Center, the space has a
series of sinuous volumes that blend the indoor and outdoor areas well, offering visitors leisure options both inside and outside the spaces.
The space will also be important for urban planners, as it will feature gently sloping ramps that
will help connect the city's commercial and residential districts to the north with the parks to the south.
Zaha Hadid Architects' design is also
sustainable. They included measures to optimize ventilation and prioritize natural light to
reduce electricity consumption in the cultural complex. The center will also use photovoltaic panels to generate electricity on site and will incorporate facilities for
rainwater harvesting and collection.
