The search for small spaces to live has been gaining more and more strength in contemporary times, and the Tikku micro apartment came with this proposal: to be practical. Designed for the first time in Helsinki, Ireland, by the architecture firm Marco Casagrande, the space makes a critical but decisive note regarding urban planning for the future: more agile ways of constructing spaces and buildings.

On normal streets, Tikku does not require any foundation, it simply sits on the street. The space can be built on the ground in a single night.

The project is a contemporary cave for a modern urban nomad. It offers privacy, security and comfort. The micro apartment is also self-sufficient. It produces its own energy with solar panels and has dry toilets.
