The Education Above All (EAA) Foundation has announced that 27 tents, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) to serve and support refugee populations, will be donated to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Qatar Red Crescent as part of the country’s efforts to ensure that the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 has a lasting impact beyond the tournament.

Three ZHA-EAA tents are already being used as schools for hundreds of Syrian and Pakistani refugee children in Pakistan and Turkey respectively. The newly donated structures will be used as schools, clinics and temporary shelter facilities for communities in Syria, Turkey and Yemen.
ZHA-EAA tents allow natural light to enter and are modular, weatherproof structures that can be easily moved and reassembled, incorporating components that can also be reused or recycled in a sustainable way.

The ZHA-EAA tent was also visited by football players and fans during the FIFA World Cup and the campaign included art exhibitions and immersive videos, discussions, games and activities to promote the UN Sustainable Development Goals .
