A member of
Preferred Hotels & Resorts , the largest collection of independent luxury hotels in the world,
Pulso Hotel opens its doors on Avenida Faria Lima, in São Paulo, and joins other independent hotels of the group in Brazil such as Hotel Unique (SP) and Fera Palace Hotel (Salvador, BA).
The development has 52 apartments of 32 m² and 5 suites of 64 m². Both the building and the interiors of all the hotel spaces, including the suites, were designed by
Studio Arthur Casas , a team from
CASACOR SP .
The architectural design allows access to the development without passing through walls or railings and integrating the building into the city, while the
brise-soleils that cover the exterior give identity and dynamism to the facades .
The leisure and wellness spaces, which include a swimming pool, sauna, gym, relaxation area and SPA, occupy a suspended glass volume overlooking the garden.
The extensive 30 m panel that makes up the work
Mácula (2023), by
Nuno Ramos , is the most striking element upon entering Pulso Hotel. Positioned in the lobby's internal garden, where a glass partition ensures natural lighting and the presence of vegetation in the hotel's interiors, the work makes an impact and gives personality to the space.
Nuno's works deal with the tense overlap between heterogeneous materials and a conceptual elaboration plan characterized by proximity to the verbal arts. His works are part of the collections of institutions such as the Inhotim Institute in Brumadinho, the Jewish Museum in New York, the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo in São Paulo, Brazil, and the Tate Modern in London. Mácula is inspired by a work of the same name by Nuno created for the XXII São Paulo International Biennial and is now on permanent display at the Pulso Hotel.
Gastronomy
The hotel's official restaurant is
Bistrô Charlô and the establishment also has the second branch of
Cha Cha , a brand that combines the functions of a café, boulangerie, rotisserie and emporium. The only bartender to win two stages in different countries of Diageo's acclaimed World Class, in Switzerland and Brazil,
Gabriel Santana is responsible for the drinks menu at Bar Sarau, a place reserved for enjoying good music, signature drinks and snacks in an intimate and cozy atmosphere.
"Decades ago, hotels were synonymous with social and cultural gatherings. Over time, they became closed to the outside world and lost their reach and identity, often becoming similar to each other," says
Otávio Suriani , CEO of the hotel. In an attempt to revive the role of hotels as part of the cultural life of cities, Pulso Hotel brought together a team of professionals and curators to bring to the hotel's spaces and programming a refined curation of São Paulo's production in architecture and design, gastronomy, cocktails, visual arts, music and shows.
