In 2020, the capital of Rio de Janeiro will host the 27th World Congress of Architects . The event takes place every three years and, starting this year, the host city will also receive the title of World Capital of Architecture. Between the 19th and 26th From July 2020, Rio de Janeiro is expected to receive around 25 thousand architects with the aim of reflecting and dialoguing with society about a new time to face the challenges of metropolises.
The city of Rio de Janeiro was chosen by UNESCO – United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – as the first World Capital of Architecture. The title was awarded last Friday (17), in Paris.
