Construction of the luxury hotel inside the Inhotim Institute , the largest open-air museum in the world, in Brumadinho (MG), is in full swing. To continue the original Clara Arte project, designed by architect Freusa Zechmeister and halted since 2014, the group hired the Hemisfério Arquitetura office, led by partners Joana Magalhães and Sofia Lobato, who were part of Freusa's team at the time.
“The goal is to preserve what Freusa designed , making only the necessary modifications and expansions to the wet area and the dining area. We want to respect his legacy, as well as the purpose of the Inhotim Institute. The hotel was designed to convey the essence of the museum and provide a unique experience for guests,” emphasizes Taiza, CEO of Clara Resorts.
“After that, another 60 accommodations will be built, a cinematic spa in the middle of the forest and the expansion of the events center, by 2025. And, by 2029, a complete resort with 150 accommodations will be opened in an area 700 meters from the museum ”, explains Taiza.
“The new hotel in Inhotim represents not only a milestone in luxury tourism, but also an example of how sustainable development can be achieved through collaboration and mutual support between companies and local communities,” reinforces Taiza.
