Miami's tallest skyscraper to be 100 stories tall, scheduled for completion in 2026

Sieger Suarez Architects has collaborated with Uruguayan architect Carlos Ott to design what is intended to be the first and tallest skyscraper in Miami . It is scheduled for completion in 2026 .

Named the Waldorf Astoria Miami , the building will have 100 floors and reach 319.7 meters in height , well above the 300-meter limit that defines a skyscraper as supertall. The architects involved in the project are joined by PMG , the developer behind 111 W 57th Street, the world's thinnest skyscraper, recently completed in Manhattan, NY.

The structure will be located at 300 Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami , and consists of nine offset cubes that are intended to emphasize the structure's suspension and height. “The concept was to make an iconic sculpture that defied the laws of gravity, placing the different blocks in different positions, which also created unique views from each space,” said Uruguayan architect Carlos Ott.

The facades of each cube will be flat and wrapped in what the architects describe as a "glass skin."

Housed within the structure will be both a five-star hotel and private residences, both managed by Hilton Management Services.

San Francisco-based interior design studio Bamo was chosen to handle the interior design. “As Florida’s first supertall tower and the tallest residential building south of New York City, Waldorf Astoria Miami hopes to anchor a new era for this magical city,” said PMG.
