The floor plan is one of the main technical drawings used in architecture and engineering to represent the layout of a building or construction. It is a graphical representation made from a top view, as if the building had been "cut" horizontally, generally at a height of 1.50 or 1.60 m from the floor. This representation allows for a detailed view of the arrangement of projects, walls, doors, windows, and other elements present on a specific floor. It is important to highlight that, in addition to the floor plan (ground level), there are also plans for upper floors, plans for roofs, structural plans, and other variations that address different aspects of construction. The preparation must be done by qualified professionals, such as architects, civil engineers, or building technicians. These professionals have the technical knowledge and tools necessary to develop accurate drawings that comply with the current standards of ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Standards).
