Patricia Anastassiadis designs the new interior design for the restaurants and bar at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc , located in Cap d'Antibes, on the French Riviera. The hotel, which turns 150 years old in 2020, celebrates its reopening this July with a complete remodeling of its social areas, which over the years have hosted parties, dinners and electrifying fashion shows.
"My biggest challenge was to respect and value the hotel's stunning history and tradition while trying to create an interior design that could introduce the property to a new decade," explains the architect. To this end, she reveals that many of the architectural features were maintained, such as the arches and the trompe-l'oeil on the walls, which created an interesting dialogue with the contemporary furniture. For the La Rotonde bar, the oval shape of the room surrounded by natural gardens inspired the architect, who chose different shades of green to make this connection even more visible and bring nature inside. Maintaining the organic language of the room, Anastassiadis chose curved sofas and chairs, as well as an oval rug, which takes the center of the room. At Eden-Roc Grill , the inspiration is the French Riviera itself. The furniture has nautical references, having been covered in shades of blue and red. Additionally, dining areas are connected via a pool, which overlooks the infinity of the ocean just ahead. For the renovation of the Louroc restaurant, the proposal was to maintain the original arches, creating a contemporary and very sophisticated layout. The color palette tends towards blue and coral tones, which are reminiscent of the orange of the sunset that invades the space in the afternoon. It is worth noting that all the furniture was created especially for the space, making it even more special and unique.
