"The idea for the name of the apartment comes from the nickname of the owner of the house, Miss Brown," studio founder Tran Ngo Chi Ma i told Dezeen. "Since she also loves the colour brown, our idea was to create an environment as soft and calm as this color itself ."

The office invested in a natural color palette (with light brown, beige and wood) with the intention of creating an atmosphere different from conventional apartments and chose to remove the existing walls, adding curved partitions in their place.

Highlight the rounded island in the center of the kitchen , which was covered in granite.

“We used terrazzo from the kitchen island onwards, like a stream that runs down the floor and spreads throughout ,” said Chi Mai. “Choosing this type of material makes the house feel light and soft.”

Granilite stood out in the project as it is durable, shiny and dissipates heat better than wooden floors, creating a feeling of freshness .

“The important thing when designing is to create a new, sophisticated space and, above all, to bring a feeling of comfort to the owner,” explains the architect. “If the owners return after a hard day’s work and don’t enjoy life in this environment, it will forever be just a place to meet basic needs such as eating and sleeping, and that will be our failure,” he adds.
