Every year, ArchDaily selects a variety of architectural projects for the Building of the Year award – the largest award in the category focused on public opinion, which nominates and votes on the most relevant projects of 2020. In this edition, 95,000 votes were collected in just 20 days. With a variety of interventions, scales, materials and locations, the winners reflect the breadth of architecture’s work.

The award is divided into two stages: in the first, the public chooses five projects from each category among more than 300 nominations. Several professionals from the CASACOR team were present at this pre-selection, such as Otto Felix, Nildo José, and the Arquitetos Associados collective, among others.
