The first images of the renovated Neue Nationalgalerie , the famous museum building in Berlin designed by Mies Van Der Rohe , have been revealed. In 2015, the institution closed to the public to prepare for a comprehensive renovation by architect David Chipperfield . Now, after years of meticulous work, the building has been completely restored to its former glory.

With the works completed, the handover of the keys to the Neue Nationalgalerie is scheduled for April 2021. In the meantime, the museum is scheduled to reopen with an Alexander Calder exhibition in August 2021.

Elsewhere, 800 existing ceiling lights are now supplemented with LEDs, while 2,500 square metres of granite flooring have been reinstalled throughout the building.
