In 2016,
CASACOR Brasília entered into a partnership with
WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature – Brazil) and the group of architects Roberto Lemconte, Juliana Garrocho, Catharina Macedo and Sheila Beatriz to create the façade of the show. The intention was to design something grand, based on sustainability and that could have its materials reused at the end of the event. The project was
titled Legal Wood , where the main entrance to the exhibition received a reusable wooden panel. In the environment, the architects highlighted the power of the construction technology in glued laminated wood, with the seal of approval of WWF-Brazil. The entire structure and The shading combined industrial and natural wood with planted pieces from the Amazon and native trees. Shorter wood production waste formed the shutter that protected the façade from sunlight and rain. Everything was designed using sustainable materials and also in their functionality. Designed to host
workshops on sustainability, the WWF stand at Shopping CasaPark is also the result of a partnership between the NGO, Sebrae DF and the company Spirale Arquitetura e Soluções Sustentáveis and aims to promote the sharing of experiences at an event with light format and open to the public. The venue will host six lectures and has already had its first meeting on July 20, with the theme “ Creative sustainability: design and production of sustainable furniture ”. The next event will be on August 24th, with the theme "
Profitable Sustainability: Sustainable Buildings and Landscaping". The workshop will start at 11am with a brunch and lecture. "The event has been a great success among business owners, because at the end from each event, the network that is formed is very large”, explains Ana Maria, Analyst at Sebrae DF.
