For a perfect
beach house , some key elements need to be present: comfortable and versatile furniture, a decor focused on entertaining and plenty of natural light. All of these materialize in this project by
Tatiana Campos Melo , completed in Praia do Forte, in Bahia.
The 306 m² of the house by the sea were designed to meet the needs of a family and inspire moments of togetherness. Thus, a long L-shaped sofa in off-white provides comfortable seating and is an invitation to relax. . Other pieces of furniture, such as the lounge chairs and the large table in the dining area, encourage interaction. Among the furniture, the Braza armchair by designer Bruno Faucz and the Lena coffee table by decarvalho atelier stand out.
The social area with a double height ceiling of 5.5 meters is where the large glass panels open to the outside and frame the beautiful palm trees in the garden in front. Well lit, the living room highlights the slatted wooden ceiling, which covers the entire the staircase area, at the back of the dining area, and visually unites the spaces.
Fresh and airy, the living area can be fully opened to the balcony and pool through large sliding doors. The character is also reinforced by the wooden lattices, which bring the interior and exterior together and connect the project to nature. The material is also preferred in the façade's brise-soleil, where it sits alongside the natural stone.
