The Vila Galé Hotel is a great choice for those who want to enjoy the historic center of Rio de Janeiro in a building that blends in with its surroundings. Opened in December 2014, it is a popular choice for artists and musicians from Rio. Vila Galé has restored an old 19th-century mansion that housed the Magnífico hotel and later a school. Today, the property has 292 rooms, with suites that maintain the charm of the palace and more modern rooms in the new tower. The decor is inspired by samba, bossa nova and Portuguese-Brazilian culture. The large windows with individual balconies are reminiscent of old buildings and allow for an even more immersive experience of the historic architecture. The project maintained the original structure of the building, listed as a Historical and Cultural Heritage site, adding only the most modern part. The historic building has suites that enjoy the best of the classic style. The furniture in shades of red and beige complements the walls. and facade of the building. For food lovers, there are two restaurants, Versátil and Inevitável, which serve gourmet cuisine with Mediterranean inspiration. There are also two bars, one of which is dedicated to Vinicius de Moraes, with vintage-style decor. The leisure area has a swimming pool, spa, gym, massage room and jacuzzi! The facilities are an invitation to relax and unwind for guests. The initiative of using architecture to promote local tourism is widely used in Europe.
