In the vibrant heart of the Golden Triangle in Paris, the Grand Powers hotel stands out as a sanctuary of
elegance and
history. Since its inception in 1920, this enchanting refuge, located between Pierre Charron and François 1er streets, has become a celebration of
art de vivre Parisian. After a careful redesign in 2019, the Grand Powers not only preserved its glorious heritage but also reinvented itself as a space that
unites modernity and tradition in a unique way. The impressive architecture of the Grand Powers captures the splendor of
Haussmannian style, with its imposing stone facade, richly decorated, balconies with wrought iron details, and windows that preserve the classical aesthetic. The entrance is marked by a glass awning that instantly transports guests and visitors to a
refined atmosphere. Each architectural element carries the weight of history and invites visitors to enter a world where
beauty is an integral part of everyday life. Situated among the
haute couture boutiques of Avenue Montaigne, the endless luxury of Avenue Georges V, and the vibrant energy of Champs-Élysées Avenue, the hotel harmonizes with the rich fashion culture that defines the city. Under the vision of
Alexandra Marang, who coordinated the renovation of the space with the talent of architects
Basti-Behzadi and decorator
Cathy Crinon, the Grand Powers has plunged into a new phase of its history. Together, they managed to capture the essence of the Parisian spirit of the 1920s, preserving elements of
Art Déco and
modernism from the 1940s and 50s. The result is a
celebration of French elegance, where each space speaks of a glorious past but also embraces the new. Within the hotel, influences are diverse and subtle, reflecting a
refined combination of traditions. Parisian elegance is manifested in the internal architecture, highlighting
handcrafted tiles,
carved wooden staircases, and
monumental fireplaces. Italian
design is present in noble materials and the aesthetics of the golden years of design, such as the use of marble and glass that bring a touch of lightness and refinement. British comfort, in turn, is evident in the
textures of upholstery and curtains, creating a cozy environment. The restoration of the Grand Powers is not limited to aesthetics; it is a celebration of craftsmanship and skill. Each detail has been
carefully considered, reflecting a commitment to
authenticity and
excellence. The ceilings with delicate moldings, classical-style windows and doors, and restored oak parquet floors tell a story of artisanal dedication. This meticulous care results in a space that not only enchants the eyes but also touches the hearts of those who visit. In addition to the architectural wonders, the Grand Powers is a
living art gallery. Every corner of the hotel showcases
works personally selected by Marang, in collaboration with the Parisian gallery
Françoise Durst. A specially commissioned triptych mural evokes the essence of travel, allowing each guest to feel part of this narrative. The sensory experience is complemented by a signature candle, whose aroma, created by olfactory designer
Rémi Porthault, evokes old memories, giving the space a unique soul. With 50 rooms ranging from junior suites to a luxurious 75 m² suite, the Grand Powers offers a
constant experience of elegance and comfort. From most rooms, an inviting glimpse of the
Eiffel Tower awaits, serving as a reminder of the Parisian magic present in the city. Thus, the hotel presents itself as a
refuge that harmonizes the past and the present, promising its visitors an
unforgettable experience in Paris.
