The famous Danish studio
BIG presents a great novelty: an
innovative and personality-filled project of a
tree house that serves as accommodation for the Treehotel, located in a forest in Lepônia, Sweden.
Created in collaboration with Swedish ornithologist Ulf Öhman, the hotel room was designed to
immerse guests in the forest without sacrificing comfort, but offering a
privileged view .
To access the rooms, guests must cross a metal bridge. The structure is
contained between two trees and has a spherical shape measuring 34 m².
The bedrooms have
double-height ceilings and
large windows for bird watching and the surrounding forest, and are adjacent to a bathroom. A double bed is
elevated above the toilet and can be accessed via a ladder from the living area.
The interior It is almost entirely black and several treehouse-shaped lights hang from the ceiling. The BIG Biosphere is the eighth treehouse to be installed at the Treehotel.
