Gil Pender is a young writer in search of fame. On vacation in Paris with his fiancée, he sets out alone to explore the city and meets a group of strangers who are, in fact, great names in literature, who take him on a journey back in time – straight to the 19th century , when Art Nouveau was emerging in Europe. With the aim of breaking the traditions imposed by the formal rigor of Academic Art, Art Nouveau is presented in architecture through asymmetrical and delicate curved lines, using nature as a source of inspiration, and is marked by the presence of stained glass windows and mosaics .
The system was inaugurated in 1900 with entrances designed by Hector Guimard. Today, Guimard's decorative wrought-iron openings are emblematic of Art Nouveau Paris.

The loft where much of the plot of “Love and Other Drugs” takes place already takes us to a very common architectural style of these North American homes: the industrial style , which emerged in New York in the 1970s, when people felt the need to integrate their homes with their workspace, transforming old warehouses into so-called lofts.

When watching Batman it is almost inevitable not to associate this film, and especially Gotham City, with Gothic architecture , which emerged in the Late Middle Ages (10th to 15th centuries). In the new film “The Batman” (2022), filming took place in many places in London – one of the European cities that most features the Gothic style in its buildings.
