Different geometric angles make up the architecture of this building in SP

With a challenging structure designed by FGMF Arquitetos , from the CASACOR cast, the Girassol Building, located in Vila Madalena, in São Paulo, was developed to meet the heightened demand in this post-pandemic period for lighter and more welcoming workspaces , with the architecture responsible for creating environments that promote well-being, satisfaction and productivity.

“The reduction of traditional, fixed stations and adherence to the remote format end up reducing human contact and the sense of belonging, and this makes it difficult to transmit values to the team,” says Lourenço Gimenes , partner at FGMF.

“Environments must encourage socialization and a sense of well-being , bringing people closer together to increase talent retention and the development of more creative and dynamic work, especially in the hybrid model,” he explains.

Thus, the architects created an unusual building, integrated into the urban environment, kind to passers-by and comfortable for its direct users.

At the same time, this apparent disorganization of the volume allows the reading of a less vertical object, more tied to the user's scale, friendly to those walking on the street and seeing not only the garden on the ground floor, but also the floating green spaces in the urban landscape.

On all floors, natural lighting and the circulation of people are privileged, with open access areas, small balconies with green spots on the windowsill and large windows that surround the central building.

The highlight is the third floor, which is defiantly balanced on a 7-meter cantilever in a metal structure . Its polycarbonate coating gives it a lightness and a dose of casualness, contrasting with the exposed concrete of the other floors, solidly supported on top of each other.
