Located in Westchester County, about an hour's drive from New York City, the Hudson Valley Glass House was designed by architect Robert Fitzpatrick in 1967.

The clients – a couple with a young daughter – recently purchased the home and commissioned interior designer Magdalena Keck to design the project.

Rising on two levels, the designer filled the glass and steel home with a restrained yet eclectic mix of furniture that complements the existing architecture .

For their full-time residence, the homeowners wanted furniture that was modern , functional , and meaningful .

Drawing on her penchant for “ cozy minimalism ,” Magdalena chose a range of pieces that complement the existing architecture and finishes, including hardwood flooring and vanilla-hued window coverings.

The living room features a gray bouclé sofa by French designer Christophe Delcourt and an octagonal Brutalist-style resin coffee table.

In the adjacent dining area, beech chairs and fabric by Sergio Rodrigues . Instead of hanging a light fixture over the table, the designer opted to add a floor lamp to provide more interesting and cozy lighting.
