UP3 Architecture – UP House. Environment of CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2021. (André Nazareth)
The complete residence by UP3 Arquitetura for the 30th anniversary of CASACOR Rio de Janeiro barely interferes with the landscape of the 12,000 m² of Atlantic Forest at Residência Brando Barbosa. In fact, it draws its strength from the garden. The project, designed by the trio Michelle Wilkinson , Thiago Morsh and Cadé Marino , combines the Scandinavian way of living with the typical Rio style.
Built exclusively for the exhibition, the entire building was structured in a metal mesh with contemporary features and simple lines. Sustainable, the residence was built dry, with little waste and reduced construction time.
On the outside, the highlight is the cobogós , which divide the internal and external areas, in addition to permeating the light.
For the interior design, seven spaces were planned: living room, fireplace area, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, office and balcony.
A wooden ceiling warms the entire composition, which faces the outside through large glass openings .
Other elements refer to nature, such as the forest green coverings on both the sofa and the kitchen; in addition to natural materials, such as stone, clay and cotton .
