Located in the Praia Bella Condominium, in the charming Praia do Forte, in Bahia,
Casa Refúgio da Preguiça was named in honor of the resident who was already living in the area before the construction was even carried out – a sloth. Inspired by nature, the residence aims
to integrate harmoniously with the surrounding ecosystem , full of greenery and wild animals. The project was designed by architect
Eliezer Ferreira , from the
GAD Projetos de Arquitetura office.
With over 330 m², the house
combines rustic and contemporary elements by combining its straight lines with the solid presence of wood in its openings. Also noteworthy is the pergola created with
Tidelli Formica TS panels, which, with openwork cutouts, create a
wooden effect. unique light and shadow and give life to organic movements from the solar position.
On the balcony, the
relaxation spaces are formed by a hot tub, poufs, side table, sideboard, vases and – the highlight of the composition – the
Ruy Ohtake Pêndulo swing .
The pergola provides protection for the outdoor deck in front of the pool, which has been fitted with a floating cushion. In this space, the architect created
small lounges using comfortable Tulum armchairs, Pucon modular furniture and a Spool table with Kauai chairs. To give
functionality to the spaces, added Biarritz side table and coffee table, Marina coffee table and garden seat, Maui multipurpose coffee table and a large parasol.
Another point worth highlighting in the project is the
integration of spaces , such as the gourmet and living and dining rooms, which were all designed to bring together family and guests for good celebrations.
Architect Eliezer Ferreira worked with a color palette of blue, green and nude tones, such as sand, for the furniture. The goal was to create a
relaxing home for the family , with relaxing colors and lots of coziness. “Our final result It is a
house with life , from the structure to the furniture, from the exuberant nature to the animals. It is the house of laziness, of breathing, of coexistence.
It is a home ”, concludes the architect.
