Surrounded by gardens that offer a massive example of Brazilian flora, and with a beautiful lake right in front, the GP Residence is one of
Lucas Takaoka 's most striking and significant projects. Situated on top of a mountain, the contemporary house was completely renovated by the architect from the
CASACOR São Paulo 2022 cast. Large glass windows envelop the residence, allowing the greenery of the landscape to be incorporated into the interior design. The volume of the house blends into the paradisiacal setting, with neutral tones used throughout the composition to create contrast with the surroundings.
The intense dialogue between the interiors and the garden continues into the living area, where the abundance of natural light visually connects the social areas. An organically shaped open bookcase provides privacy to the living and dining areas without completely blocking interaction between them.
When it comes to furniture, pieces with original designs are combined with a selection of vintage furniture, creating a real home feel. The predominance of wood in the details – from small to large scale – helps create a welcoming feeling in all the designed spaces.
