Looking for a
refuge in the middle of nature is the secret to improving your quality of life and also finding a breather from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. For the residents of this house in
Ilhabela, on the coast of São Paulo , the residence located close to Praia Feiticeira needed to welcome and enchant them.
The building was not new, but it was completely redesigned. Architect
Rafa Zampini , from the
CASACOR São Paulo 2023 cast, accepted the challenge of creating a
light, single-story and integrated house that was capable of replacing the ruins of the old residence that stood on the land.
The
integration of the spaces was from the inside out, as the architect decided to opt for a neutral and simple base for the composition of the house's furniture, so that the
background would be the main attraction: that is, the ocean itself.
The single-story house has a surprising view of the sea that can be seen in
different rooms , from the
living room to the kitchen , which guaranteed an inspiring and relaxing look for the residents.
The concern with sustainability came from both the architect and the residents, who wanted to
take advantage of the green surroundings that were degraded by the original construction. "The new house appears as a
sustainable breath of fresh air for the land and the coastline", says Rafa.
