A
generous 600 m² plot of land houses a spacious house with the aim of
conveying calm and tranquility while proposing a
reconnection between man and nature . Named Ananda, the project was designed by Stemmer Rodrigues. Located in
Eldorado do Sul , Rio Grande do Sul, Ananda means "supreme happiness" in Hinduism. The choice of the name was in line with the purpose of the residence, which seeks to offer a balanced space for
Yoga and meditation classes . (Lucas Franck/NMLSS/CASACOR)
The house is situated in a peaceful
green area , and, according to Ingrid Stemmer, founding partner of Stemmer Rodrigues, several elements of the architecture were designed to
redefine the house as a space dedicated to meditation and yoga . “The welcome begins at the main entrance, where the pilotis supporting the solarium blend in with nature, while the glass gutters form a shelter dedicated to the practice of meditation and yoga,” he explains.
To bring the cozy atmosphere from the outside in, the architects opted for balanced materials and simple but powerful decoration. To achieve this,
wood came into play, along with
glass and concrete .
“The slatted wood covers the façade on the upper floor, in front of the solarium, bringing more coziness to the private area and balance to the design”, says Luciana Medeiros, project coordinator at Stemmer Rodrigues. (Lucas Franck/NMLSS/CASACOR)
The
house is divided into two floors . The ground floor houses the social area, the room for yoga classes and the balcony. The upper floor houses the private areas: three bedrooms and a
solarium (facing north). The
barbecue area opens onto the patio, and a deck covered in raw marble serves as a space to welcome friends and family, fully connected with the fresh air and nature.
