The House on Prumirim Beach , in Ubatuba, SP, designed by the Bruno Rossi Arquitetos office, is located in the middle of the dense Atlantic Forest in the interior of São Paulo, just a few meters from the sea.

The project was designed not only as a summer shelter for the couple with three adult children, but also as a possible main home in the near future, allowing the family to enjoy the natural landscape .

The 100m² ground floor accommodates the essential functions of the house, in addition to the master bedroom. The dining room, living room and kitchen are integrated into a single patio with double-height ceilings , increasing the entry of light, ventilation and visibility to the forest, as a large balcony open to the sea breeze. The children's three bedrooms and shared bathrooms occupy the upper level.
The conventional structure of concrete and solid bricks was chosen in the most compartmentalized wing of the house (bedrooms, kitchen and wet areas).

The thermal quality of the environments is ensured by solid brick, thermo-acoustic tiles and ventilation guaranteed by the design of the frames and shutters.

The facades are made of glass, with screen protections acting as brise-soleil and wooden shutters , also developed with local materials and labor.

As a result, the architect explored the possibilities of different construction and structural systems , expressing the very nature of the materials, in harmony with their surroundings.
