On this large plot of land with a south-facing slope, architect
Gabriel Montañés designed
Casa M on the island of Menorca in Spain. The residence, which follows the paradisiacal coastline, serves the purpose of being more than just a holiday home , but
a permanent residence in a privileged location , a true oasis to enjoy in the company of family and friends.
In the project, the architect sought
to make the most of the spaciousness of the land , allowing views of the Mediterranean to be enjoyed from any part of the house. In this way,
the house blends into the landscape , opening onto a spacious balcony. which, in turn, is just a few meters from the sea.
To achieve this, a large space was created right at the entrance to the residence, which offers a
generous opening to the outside . Glass doors were installed to allow
natural light to enter the decor. These slide and disappear behind the walls, making it the house itself is in the background and, at first, the view is even more appreciated.
A central courtyard connects all the rooms in the residence,
allowing the natural breeze to circulate unhindered and cooling the entire interior area of the house. In this courtyard, there is a
large swimming pool , creating a delightful leisure area for the whole family to enjoy.
The openings, shutters, pergola and patio were all designed to
ensure maximum thermal comfort , depending on the time of day and the weather throughout the year. In addition, depending on the sunlight, the brise-soleils create a
beautiful shaded over the balcony , which makes the decor even more cozy.
The house was built to flow seamlessly throughout its entirety,
with almost no changes to the land . Glass, wood, white plaster and ochre tones
enhance the essence of the property with elegance and freshness. See more photos of Casa M by Gabriel Montañés in the gallery:
