Getting in touch with nature in a safe haven where the family (made up of a couple and their two daughters) and friends can meet: this is the premise of this condominium house in Novo Hamburgo, in Rio Grande do Sul, created by architect
Guga Heck from Heck Arquitetura, who was
selected by CASACOR RS in 2022. With an unobstructed view of the city
skyline , the house is located at a
high point in the rural area of Rio Grande do Sul , on a sloping plot of land with a total area of 1,000
m2 . Without walls or boundaries, the house is connected to each other and to nature in all the environments and volumes created for the residence.

Contemporary, the project invests in straight lines throughout its entirety and in the balance between horizontal and vertical volumes. Here,
the interior and exterior blend together , making the house something similar to a lookout point – which, starting with the pool, slides up to the terrace. and ends in the social area with views of nature.

There are
300m2 of built area that includes a social area with balcony, three suites, garage and swimming pool. The interior design, also signed by
Heck Arquitetura , prioritized
materials that do not require much maintenance , such as Miracema stone fillet, exposed concrete and Wood-effect PVC, in addition to black PVC frames with double glazing (the latter of which, in the social area – where the highest ceiling height in the house is concentrated –, reaches up to 3.25 meters in height).

Heck Arquitetura has had a long-standing partnership with the residents of the residence – the team of architects had already completed both the couple’s first apartment and their current home, as well as projects for the family. Here, however, the challenge was different. According to Guga Heck: "our concern was to make the house
fully integrated and in harmony with the land and its views; [in addition] the relationship between the internal spaces should be and be in accordance with the family's use". He also highlights the creation of a "
super kids suite ", which has two bunk beds and two double beds in the same room.
