To house a couple, their four children and the family dog, architect
Karen Pisacane designed a large house where
coexistence and contact with nature are the main features of the project . Located in Brasília, the residence proposes a lighter way of living. , comfortable and harmonious.
With 350
m2 of total area, the residence received a well-structured renovation that
transformed the living areas into integrated spaces – whether with the other environments or with the external area –, capable of bringing the family together even more and, at the same time, maintaining the environments practical and functional.
The main highlight is perhaps the
garden , which brings the architecture to life right at the entrance to the house. Present throughout the surrounding area, the garden revives a concept that has been so lost, especially in large cities, of contact with life outdoors – and that is why , it is also the garden that adds a
great sense of relaxation to the project, in addition to being fundamental for the development of children.
The interior area is divided into two volumes – the upper and the lower. On the lower floor, there are the living room, home, dining room and kitchen. Highlights include the
freijó panels , which separate the spaces, and the panels of glass around the perimeter of the residence, which helped
bring greenery into the house . The furniture features pieces by big names such as
Cassio Veiga and
Jader Almeida .
On the upper floor, there is the master suite, the children's bedroom, the bathroom, the closet and the playroom. An important difference to mention is that, in this house,
the children's bedroom was designed so that they all sleep together – a family philosophy so that they can spend more time together.

The elegance of the project is due to the color palette, in which
neutral tones predominate , with variations of brown and earthy tones. In contrast, the
corten steel frames bring a more contemporary feel to the architecture.
