This cabin located in Nikola-Lenivets, an art park in Russia, contrasts with its surroundings and blends metal with local vegetation. The new monument was just unveiled at the
Archstoyanie Festival and was designed to resemble the shape of a tube with a diameter of 3.5 meters.
Named
Russian Quintessential , the cabin, designed by architect Sergey Kuznetsov, has worked very well with textures in its interior and exterior. While the
rustic style predominates on the outside, the inside of the cabin is intimate and very cozy, with walls that imitate wood and
integrated spaces . The cabin has become a new art object and was unveiled at the Archstoyanie Festival. It is 12 meters long and
stands out in its green surroundings because it is covered mostly in seamless stainless steel sheets. Underneath there is a system to divert the sound of the rain drum.
The architect played with the difference in height, as
the structure is positioned in a lateral cantilever and suspended in the air . The structure is a clever monument in which all 12 tons are kept in balance by just six bolts.
The cabin, sheltered among the trees, is open to visitors , offering a tour of its interior. The frames, both of the doors and windows, are made of glass and provide a glimpse of the interior that also reflects the vegetation outside. The interior has everything a person needs to live there :
bathroom, kitchen, dining room and bed. At the end of the cabin, you can see a small space dedicated to improvising a balcony. Source: Contemporist
