How is an architectural project born? Sometimes a particular taste, a style, the desire for furniture... in the case of this farm in Luziânia, Goiás, a
fallen tree guided the architect
Thaís Caixeta . The architect says that the owner's initial idea was to have a
piece of furniture with a smaller top . “He wanted a comfortable gourmet area, but initially he was thinking about a table for ten or twelve people,” he says. Thinking about reusing
solid wood that would rot over time, Caixeta designed the furniture with steel legs – it took eight men and a forklift to put the
top where it is. The generous
160m² of gourmet area were well used to comfortably accommodate the owner's family and friends. Distributed between kitchen, dining and living space, it has a
terraced living room concept. All glazed, it opens onto the pool and the beautiful outside view. “This was another request from the resident: he would like the project to preserve the
broad view of the surroundings and
integrate the environments .”
The professional opted for
sliding glass doors almost along the entire length of the space and the same flooring inside and outside the house. “Even the mountains can be seen from this environment built exclusively to receive. This is a great privilege”, he concludes.
