In architecture, Wellness is becoming popular and presenting itself as a trend. What many professionals believe is that the colors, textures, aromas and elements that make up an environment are capable of awakening sensations, and looking for those that bring good feelings is fundamental. Social isolation, culminating in the coronavirus pandemic, was one of the great drivers of Wellness architecture. This is because people needed to spend more time at home and deal with a series of issues: fear of the virus, adapting to working from home, economic uncertainties, the balance between work and family, among others.
From this, there were many cases of people who went in search of alternatives to make their homes more personal and cozy. Transforming spaces into true refuges was therapeutic for residents to be able to deal with external issues and feel more welcomed.
