Did you know that in Japan people have more cats and dogs than children? It is cultural in the country to have a deeper and more meaningful relationship with pets, which end up having a special place in homes. In line with this trend,

The exhibition, called
Architecture for Dogs , will open at Japan House in São Paulo on January 19. The exhibition has already been to China, the United States and Japan and is now coming to Brazil. It features works by Japanese names such as Sou Fujimoto, Shigeru Ban, Toyo Ito and Kengo Kuma, as well as the Dutch firm MVRDV and the German designer Konstantin Grcic.

And, of course, Brazil could not be left out. The FGMF Arquitetura office, which is part of the
CASACOR cast, also presents one of its ideas for the world of
doggies ,
O Casulo , which comes to complement the expo. Remembering that, Brazilian office, also participated in the
creation of the Japan House project , alongside Kengo Kuma.

All of the architectural dog houses were designed for small breeds, as the entire project is geared towards Japanese homes, where the trend is to have compact spaces. The aim of the project is, in addition to presenting new architectural ideas aimed at other beings ( like dogs), also explore the creative capacity of professionals, who have as a client, not a human being, but a pet, and try to imagine what their desires and wishes are.
