Located in Campo Grande, the capital of Mato Grosso do Sul, this large apartment – in total, there are
251 m² of area involved in the project – sought
to expand its social areas to better accommodate guests. The project was planned and developed by
FCstudio .
Access to the apartment is via a
private elevator located in the middle of the floor. This was enclosed by a
freijó wood box that extends to the living room, where the carpentry was used to create niches. The same was done in the
dining area. of the barbecue, wine cellar and kitchen . In this way, the spaces between these main elements are fluid and sectorized at the same time.
Wood ,
stone and
steel are very present in the composition, almost as witnesses to the truth of the materials, which are shown as they are: without adornments. Regarding the furniture, it is worth noting that it was either curated by Flávio Castro or developed by the studio itself. The
chromaticity, dimensions and language of each piece were decisive in creating a
coherent atmosphere in all the environments, where the desired sensations – comfort, functionality and harmony – come to the surface naturally.
The incorporation of the balcony and the elimination of a toilet and a suite
doubled the size of the social area , more in line with the needs of the resident, who often receives friends. Still in the social area, an
architectural light fixture designed by the studio separates the living room from the dining room, while
illuminating the space in an unconventional way .

A
nearly 12-meter-long steel shelf camouflages the passage between the social and private areas, where the three suites are located. Furthermore, a wine cellar is protected by two glass doors near the elevator.
According to the office, the project translated into architecture "the client's passion for design,
without leaving aside functionality and the enjoyment of the view of the city park opposite".
