Comfort and delicacy marked the Deca Atelier at CASACOR São Paulo
Homes have always been presented as places of comfort and connection, but they gained an even deeper meaning during this period, especially when it comes to "protection", and it was thinking about this dialogue between man, home and what is inside it that the Deca Studio was born. The pandemic was one of the main themes that marked CASACOR São Paulo this year, and it could not be different, after all, the global scenario was drastically affected by the arrival of the new virus, and new habits and needs needed to be incorporated into people's reality.

Homes are places where design is revealed and demonstrates its importance in everyday life, diluted in simple actions such as brushing your teeth, preparing a meal, taking a shower, among others. The Studio Deca , by Leo Romano , caught the attention and transported CASACOR visitors to softness and poetry, a breath of art that inspires the senses, space and life, with architecture that illuminated the city and brought a feeling of hope, like a temple for a new beginning. The space was built on almost 400 m², at the top of Parque Mirante , and was a true invitation to relax. The Nordic-inspired architecture brought lightness, with a construction technique of interlocking Cambará wood and a translucent roof, which resulted in a simple, inviting and, at the same time, sustainable plasticity - using 100% reusable materials used in the construction base. The arrival at the space was marked by the encounter with a large mirror, an encounter between the visitor and himself, to recognize himself physically before entering an atmosphere of deceleration and breathing, to connect with what is deepest within him and live a unique experience.

A living room of emotions

Leo Romano - Ateliê Deca, projeto para a CASACOR São Paulo 2021. The cozy living room was designed to bring a touch of softness and lightness, but also serve as a meeting point for four other corners, each with a specific objective of promoting different sensations: Awakening, creating, innovating and living .

Awakening Studio

At the Atelier Despertar , the invitation to poetic lightness was materialized in the panel with an installation, where the verse by the poet from Alagoas, Jorge de Lima (written in 1952) was engraved, in low relief, on the metals of the Dream line : “There is always a glass of sea for man to sail”. In a space for learning and telling stories and emotions, elements such as the round L.1050 countertop sink with Diamante texture in Ivory color and the LK single lever mixer with Wave texture in Corten finish (2885.CT17.MT.T03) , amplify the atmosphere of knowledge.

For Ateliê Criar , creativity was the core of the project, being valued through a design that translated the universe of art and architecture. In this fluid movement, the round stainless steel countertop sink, in Corten finish (L.12037.CT.MT.VAL), and the Touchless Orbe faucet with texture Planet (1189.CT103.MT.T05), also in Corten finish with Black Matte sphere, walks through the essence and stimulates creativity.

Innovate Atelier

The Inovar Studio reflected the constant search for the new, where research and innovation are based on technology and historical references of humanity to promote other experiences. With an aesthetic that could be appreciated by sight and touch, the L.70 square cement countertop sink in the Volcano finish , inspired by brutalist architecture , and the Unic table tap with Crystal texture (1189.CT90.MT.T02) in the Corten finish highlighted the common thread of our times and brought a true trend towards "new living".

Far beyond functionality, Ateliê Viver explored aromas and textures that play the careful role of bringing comfort and sensations through the senses. The soft aesthetics of the round L.1050 countertop sink in the color Pistachio joined other elements of nature that embraced the space . Beauty is understood as a form of expression of life and it was inspired by this that the Orion Tap with Bloom texture (1189.CT102.MT.T04), by Ricardo Bello Dias, was chosen to compose the environment.

Physical and spiritual cleansing

Water has always been a symbol of purification, and for this reason, Leo Romano opted for a reflecting pool that accommodated fountains , portraying our relationship with water and its power of physical and spiritual cleansing. Designed from the architect's perspective, with the combination of Deca chinaware and golden bubbles, the art installations were set against the backdrop of the São Paulo skyline. At another point, the tropicality of a sequence of Cicas mixed the nature present in the environment with that displayed in the square next to the exhibition, seen from above.

In the space, Leo Romano's signature furniture completed the welcoming proposal, with pieces such as sofas, chaises and armchairs from the " Para ser Feliz " collection and the large coffee table and chair from the " Chuvá " collection.

The bathroom marked a transition, an environment of introspection, where the sensations of the day and night flow out and are renewed for others that present themselves in life. It is also where new experiences connect with what has always existed, a unique being in its trajectory.

Thus, a black palette took over the entire space and presented a great novelty for bathrooms. On the wide countertop, a sequence of stainless steel countertop sinks revealed the unexpected through their slim design. Transmitting lightness and fluidity, this launch with a smooth texture combines technology and functionality, with perfect drainage for a sink without stains or water residue. An innovation that will delight with its colors – Corten and Matte Black, available in round and rectangular formats. To compose, functional Touchless faucets .

In the bathroom area, Jader Almeida ceiling showers (2107.BL.TET.MT) created a water screen used as a backdrop for the humanized projection of a bath. The slow motion movements of the dancing couple were created by renowned choreographer Henrique Rodovalho, ending the visit to the space with a high point of art and visual poetry.
