Eigentlich, in German, translates as intrinsic light. It is that vestigial light that we see with our eyes closed, coming from the radiation that penetrates the eyelids. This phenomenon was the inspiration for the architect Arthur Guimarães for the Eigen Suite , a space in the Janelas Challenge. CASACOR , assembled in just four days.

The base of the space is the dark tones, which appear on the walls and in the closet. In the human eye, the intensity of gray can vary slightly for each person, depending on each context. The non-uniform cement coating translates this effect to the decoration.

The striking colors appear scattered in various spots, in the form of pillows, paintings or other works of art. Just like the patterns that appear in the vision, they illuminate the grayish-black background in an almost hypnotic way.
