Paula Neder - DECA Beach SPA. CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2024 Project. (André Nazareth)
A space that is pleasant to the touch, to the smell and to the eye. This was the proposal of the SPA at Praia Deca , a project by architect Paula Neder in which comfort is brought through subtlety. With 255m², the space encourages the appreciation of small moments of happiness through relaxing experiences amidst modern life.
The concept of the space led to the choice of different materials and textures for floors and walls , which made it possible to create a sensory experience designed for rest and well-being — in the Rio style. The colors used on the counter and massage area evoke an atmosphere of softness and allow the visitor to feel embraced.

The project's personality is also evident in the choice of coverings , such as the Hana Collection, a collaboration between Portinari and landscaper Alex Hanazaki. Its pure and simple openwork shapes provide lightness and a touch of freshness, as well as promoting fluidity without sacrificing privacy .

The presence of the pool with deck is an invitation to moments of self-care. The artistic panel by the MUDA collective placed in the pool — and which can also be seen on the ceiling through the reflection of the mirror — brings a contemporary feel to the space, while transporting the visitor to a playful sphere.

Wooden furniture , ceramic and fiber decorative objects are responsible for creating an ancestral aesthetic that conceptualizes the space. Along with these elements, light-colored upholstery in the living and massage areas reinforces the welcoming atmosphere. To complete the experience, Duratex wood coverings in specific areas of the space favor acoustics and coziness.

The meticulous selection of Deca ceramics, including the Sim Oval Overlay Sinks in white, the Axis Barbante Conventional Basin and the Deca Senses Bathtubs with Deck in Matte Almond, add delicate sophistication to the Deca Beach SPA . The metals from the Deca You line in Inox, with exquisite design and finish, complement it with elegance.
