Meeting point and introspective refuge, interlinked by music as the guiding thread of the experience. This is the Pausa Harmônica Deca, a 40 m² space designed by
Caio Persighini for
CASACOR Ribeirão Preto 2025. The project, which offers a new interpretation of the concept of kitchen, is based on the idea that cooking and entertaining, although social acts, can also have an intimate and reflective character. "Pausa Harmônica is about moments, it can be a gathering with friends to the sound of a vinyl record or a moment of silence and contemplation. It’s a kitchen that does not limit itself to function, but opens up to new possibilities of use and coexistence," says the architect.

In the projects, products and solutions from Deca, a reference in innovation, design, and functionality, align with the proposal. Two countertops converse with one another and organize the project: the support one, intended for hygiene and pre-preparation, features the Monocomando Enjoy Select from Deca (which includes a water volume selector and an A-class filter), in addition to the 40 cm Organizer Channel, which serves as a drip tray.

The main countertop, located in the area connecting the kitchen to the lounge, is equipped with the Funstation Sink, with accessories that fit precisely in the body of the piece – such as a drying rack, wooden boards, an ice bucket, and snack bowls – allowing to conceal the wet area, ensuring a clean design and expanding the surface area of use, from preparation to serving. The result is the optimization of meal preparation and an incentive for socialization. Accompanying the sink, we have the Retractable Monocomando Deca Inside, in stainless steel finish, and the Black Matte Retractable Kitchen Faucet. Signed by Caio Persighini's office, both countertops were executed in the Portinari Solid Black sintered stone slab, with straight cuts and visible joints.

"The Deca solutions chosen for the project reinforce the idea of a kitchen that does not limit itself to function and transforms the projects according to the occasion, showing how design and technology can enhance experiences. More than just meeting daily needs, we aim to create possibilities for coexistence, hospitality, and well-being in every detail," says Helga Dias Junqueira, Marketing and Branding manager of the brand. Unconventional materials galvanized tiles and surfaces kept in their original state, such as exposed brick and the scarified pillar, reinforce the authorship of the project and dialog with Deca's proposal to explore new ways of inhabiting. "We believe that the projects should reflect the lifestyle and choices of those who occupy them. This project translates this concept, uniting design, smart functionality, and personality, to create a space that is welcoming and surprising at the same time," adds the company executive.

As you walk through the projects, the bookshelf and the entrance wall covered in the Duratex Absolute pattern guide the gaze to the ceiling and the back wall of the lounge, covered in the striking Walnut Bourbon pattern, also from Duratex. On the floor, the Batutto GR porcelain tile from Portinari, in 100 x 100 cm format, completes the visual base, reinforcing the feeling of unity and warmth. The result is a project with an intimate atmosphere, where each element has been designed to create a unique sensory experience that invites pause and connection.
