In partnership with Coral , sponsor and official paint of CASACOR São Paulo 2023 , Casa Coral, designed by Ricardo Abreu , offers visitors an impressive environment , in which shades of pink predominate combined with playful and modern architecture , an ode to the courage to take risks in the universe of colors and in projects that value the individuality of those who inhabit them.

In this case, the carefully designed space was designed for a 64-year-old woman who is very confident in herself and her achievements, and who two years ago decided to embrace her true identity , stopping dyeing her hair and no longer fearing aging. In her home, it is possible to understand the multiple nuances of this modern, innovative and intense woman, who has always enjoyed the playful universe of dolls, is not a follower of social conventions and leaves any ageist prejudice behind.

Coral is known for celebrating the use of colors , all the energy and sensations that surround them. In this project developed by Ricardo Abreu, it could not be different. We encourage people to break away from the pasteurization of decoration and escape from conventions, allowing their home to also be an expression of who they are inside. After all, your home can be whatever you want it to be”, says Juliana Zaponi , Communication and Color Manager at AkzoNobel LatAm, manufacturer of Coral Paints.

With a total area of 225 m² , Casa Coral is divided into two large cells: a social one, consisting of an integrated living room and kitchen, and a private one, which includes a bedroom, dressing room and bathroom. The main highlight is the five layers of walls , which surround and embrace the residence, metaphorizing the different layers of the resident's life.

"My partnership with Tintas Coral arises from the choice of an unusual and bold color palette in decoration, centered on pink. Accompanied by this challenge, the need arises to bring together the wide range of tones in every corner of the project, symbolizing hope and feminine avant-garde , in which the freedom to paint the walls of your home with the color you want is a statement of individuality and authenticity", says the architect.

Inspired by the shape of dollhouses, the project also features two large ellipses that connect the spaces, creating openings that become doors and windows. With sinuous and organic cutouts , they highlight the walls with a pinkish gradient, representing the different stages of life.

One of the standout elements are the two large ellipses present in the ceiling, painted in a deep red tone , Earth Red, which contrasts with the pink environment and provides the sensation of a higher ceiling.

To give the finishing touch, rugs from the " Urban Rugs " collection were chosen, designed by Ricardo Abreu Arquitetos in partnership with by kamy. With original designs, they portray emblematic parts of the city of São Paulo, in which landscaping projects were designed to reintroduce greenery into the city, even if they have not yet been carried out.
