With the proposal to engage with the Minas Gerais public, Portinari — a reference brand in high-quality ceramic coatings in Brazil — made its mark in four projects of CASACOR Minas Gerais 2025, which took place from August 15 to October 5 at the former Izabela Hendrix Methodist Institute, in the Lourdes neighborhood of Belo Horizonte. Developed by four architects and interior designers, all spaces have a contemporary appeal, as well as revering art and authorial design. For the brand, the professionals created true tactile and visual experiences by presenting Portinari's launches in real situations, highlighting the versatility and quality of the materials. "We believe that the surface has narrative power. Participating in CASACOR is a way to show how design, together with art, can transform projects into sensory and emotional experiences," says Marcele Brunel, Head of the Design Office at Dexco, the house of brands to which Portinari belongs. ## Casa Boa Vista Deca, by Maraú Studio Design with Linda Martins In Casa Boa Vista Deca, signed by Maraú Studio Design with Linda Martins, the sophisticated and the rustic meet in a space designed for hosting. One of the highlights of the proposal is the large five-meter multifunctional island covered with Portinari's Petra Fossil Mate sintered stone, with a monolithic finish and visible chamfers. On the floor, the Galbes Sbe Nat 120 x 120 porcelain reinforces the neutral and soft character of the interiors. There is also a beautiful example of the use of the Petra slab — made with the leftover material from the Petra stone — which appears in the pendant lamp designed by the creators of the space. In the main countertop, the Funstation sink from Deca facilitates daily kitchen tasks, while the 40 cm round Facile serves as a champagne bucket. It is also worth noting the vertical panels with the Lana pattern from Duratex, which refer to the texture of linen and enhance the warm atmosphere of the project. ## Niê Giardino, by Izabella Stambassi Arquitetura In Niê Giardino, architect Izabella Stambassi created an urban refuge inspired by Italian gardens. With 191 m², the project features a spacious outdoor area divided into a café, deck, and lavatory. The color palette in earthy tones and variations of green dialog with natural materials, reinforcing the welcoming atmosphere. In the lavatory, the Portinari Versatile Brise GN 90 x 180 porcelain with striking white veins over black adds a dramatic touch to the project. There are also Deca products, such as the Carrara toilet with an attached tank and matte brown polyester seat, the rectangular Corten countertop sink, the square Deca You faucet with a round activation in Brown Matte, the Spin Corten single-lever mixer, and the square 40 cm Inox Suprema sink. ## Varanda Encontro, by Bruna Raid Arquitetura Developed by architect Bruna Raid, the Varanda Encontro has 170 m² and encompasses a living area with fireplace, bar, and lounge. The color palette composed of beiges, browns, and greens reinforces the natural character of the project, while the Portinari Metrópolis SGR Hard 120 x 120 cm porcelain, slip-resistant and inspired by exposed concrete, is ideal for outdoor areas. Produced with Deep Design technology, the coating ensures precision in details and a timeless texture. The use of textile materials, wood, and artisanal elements enhances the feeling of welcome — highlighted by the muxarabi panel with tensioned linen fabric. To finish, the architect selected pieces from renowned designers such as Jader Almeida, Zanine Caldas, and Ruy Ohtake, as well as the work of artist Maria Helena Andrés, which added a touch of Brazilian essence to the project. ## Maison Deboá, by Larissa Mendes Arquitetura Architect Larissa Mendes developed a model store of 36 m² for Maison Deboá, a perfumery participating in this year's Minas Gerais exhibition. Inspired by body and home care, the proposal values well-being through a soft color palette, indirect lighting, and natural materials. On the floor, the Portinari Basalt GR 120 x 120 cm porcelain, inspired by natural stones, helps to create a relaxing atmosphere. The MC Basalt GR Matte 30 x 30 cm coating from Portinari, in a grayish tone and matte finish, composes the panels and reinforces the contemporary character of the composition. Another important highlight of the project is the bet on authorial carpentry, with loose pieces of organic lines and the panel signed by designer Sérgio Stark.
